ANF Crackdown on Drug Trafficking Across Pakistan, Nine Suspects Arrested in Six Operations

KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking across different cities of Pakistan, arresting nine suspects and recovering 30.385 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs4.6 million in six separate operations.

According to the ANF, 584 grams of heroin were recovered from the bag of a passenger travelling to Bahrain at Islamabad Airport. The passenger was arrested.

In Jamshoro, ANF personnel intercepted two suspects riding motorcycles near Petaro Toll Plaza and recovered 10 kilograms of hashish from their possession.

In Karachi, an operation near a bus terminal led to the recovery of 7.8 kilograms of crockery made from crystal methamphetamine (ice) from a suspect.

In Gujrat, ANF officials recovered six kilograms of hashish from a vehicle near Chenab Toll Plaza and arrested three suspects.

In Sialkot, two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice) were recovered from a motorcyclist near Wahid Road.

In another operation in Karachi, ANF personnel arrested two suspects near Murtaza Chowrangi and recovered four kilograms of cannabis from their possession.

According to the ANF, cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, while further investigations are underway.
