QUETTA: The Balochistan Healthcare Commission (BHCC) has sealed two departments of Gilani Hospital located in Satellite Town, Quetta, following the identification of serious regulatory violations during an inspection visit.
According to details, the Licensing and Accreditation team of BHCC conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital as part of the evaluation process for the issuance of a provisional license.
Dr. Bismillah Khan Kakar, focal person of BHCC, stated that all departments of the hospital were thoroughly reviewed in accordance with the regulatory standards set by the Commission. During the inspection, several critical shortcomings and irregularities were observed.
In view of violations of regulations and concerns regarding patient safety, the dialysis department and radiology department were immediately sealed.
The Balochistan Healthcare Commission reiterated that it remains committed to ensuring the provision of quality healthcare services across the province, enforcing clinical standards, and protecting the public from unsafe medical practices.
The Commission has also directed all public and private healthcare facilities to strictly comply with BHCC regulations, warning that legal and regulatory action will be taken against non-compliant institutions.
