Capacity building event of Midwifery Association of Pakistan and International Confederation of Midw

KARACHI: An important collaborative and  capacity building two days event of Midwifery Association of Pakistan and International Confederation of Midwives took place at AKU-SONAM Karachi.

The event concluded today with a pledge of strengthening of MAP and capacity of it's members with the support of ICM and other stakeholders in Pakistan. 

The  inspection and assessment of MAP was done in 2024 by ICM through utilizing the Member Association Assessment Checklist (MAAC) tool. 
On day one the report of the  assessment was shared and the MAP board members from all provinces of Pakistan reviewed the report shared by ICM and individual input was taken for preparing future plans and improvement strategies for MAP performance for the betterment of the Midwives in Pakistan. 

On the second day a SWOT analysis Training was conducted by ICM team in which MAP members actively participated and developed an action Plan for the years ahead. 

This face to face event was the first one in the history of MAP in which the ICM team was actively involved by visiting Pakistan. 

The president of MAP and all board members are excited and committed to take the Midwifery Association of Pakistan to a next better level. 
The facilitators from ICM included: Ms. Aigul, Kasymova Sr Lead, Doner donor compliance and resource mobilization, Ms. Nikkie Yeaman (Head of finance and operations ICM), Ms. Neha Mankani MA strengthening; Humanitarian Engagement and Climate advisor.
