KARACHI: The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Sindh has announced that Catch-Up Vaccination Days will be conducted on 1st and 2nd December 2025 across low-performing Union Councils in the province, following a review meeting chaired by the Health Minister on November 28. The intensified campaign aims to improve vaccination coverage in areas where it remained below 90 percent during recent efforts.

The Catch-Up Days will target immunity gaps among children against Measles, Rubella (MR), and Polio (OPV), particularly in high-risk and underserved communities. Children aged 9 months to 5 years will receive the MR vaccine, while children under 5 years will be administered OPV drops.
EPI Sindh has appealed to all media outlets—including electronic, print, digital, and social media platforms—to widely highlight the campaign and encourage parents to ensure timely vaccination of their children. Officials emphasized that media support is crucial to achieving full coverage and protecting vulnerable populations.
Parents are urged to cooperate with vaccination teams and visit the nearest vaccination center on the designated days to secure their children’s health.
“Protect your children from deadly diseases. Visit your nearest vaccination team or center on December 1 and 2 and ensure your child receives the MR and Polio vaccines.”
