Farewell Ceremony Held in Honour of Prof Dr Abdul Manan Junejo at JPMC

KARACHI: A farewell ceremony in honour of Professor Dr Abdul Manan Junejo was organised by the Department of Nephrology, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), in collaboration with the JPMC administration, recognising his decades-long contributions to nephrology, medical education and institutional leadership.

The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Professor Dr Amjad Siraj Memon, Pro Vice Chancellor JSMU Dr Nighat Shah, Principal JSMU Dr Ambreen, Executive Director JPMC Professor Dr Khalid Sher, Joint Executive Director JPMC Dr Suleman, Deputy Director JPMC Dr Yahya, Dr Nousheen Rauf, Dr Adeel Samo and HR Director JSMU Dr Rahat. Faculty members, colleagues, trainees and staff from JPMC and JSMU were also present.

Speakers on the occasion paid rich tribute to Professor Dr Abdul Manan Junejo, acknowledging his outstanding services to the field of nephrology and his pivotal role in strengthening academic and clinical standards at the institution. They highlighted his commitment to patient care, his mentorship of generations of doctors and his contributions to medical education and research.

Paying tribute, senior faculty members described Professor Junejo as a respected clinician and academic leader whose professional integrity, dedication and teaching legacy would continue to inspire young physicians and healthcare professionals.

In his remarks, Professor Dr Abdul Manan Junejo expressed gratitude to his colleagues and the institution, recalling his professional journey and reaffirming his confidence in the future of nephrology and medical education at JPMC and JSMU.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields and commemorative souvenirs in recognition of his services.
