Karachi: Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) organized a rally to strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan. The rally aimed to express unwavering solidarity with Pakistan’s Armed Forces and reinforce the nation’s commitment to peace and security.
The rally was led by Registrar JSMU Dr. Azam Khan, Director HR Dr. Rahat Naz, and Director Administration Mr. Sohrab Zaman. A large number of students, faculty members, and administrative staff participated, carrying national flags and banners while chanting slogans against terrorism.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon, in his address, emphasized the crucial role of educational institutions in fostering national awareness. He stated that universities are not only centers of learning but also play a key role in promoting unity and resilience against such threats. He urged the nation to stand together in support of the Armed Forces.
Dr. Azam Khan strongly condemned BLA’s cowardly acts, stating that such attacks are a failed attempt to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty. He affirmed that the nation and its Armed Forces will remain steadfast in the face of all challenges.
A delegation from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh also participated in the rally, including Assistant Director Muhammad Ghayas, Inspector Umer Sana, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Kiran Javed, and Drug Demand Reduction Officer Mr. Hammad Anwar.
The ANF representatives appreciated JSMU’s initiative, highlighting that raising awareness against both terrorism and drug abuse is the need of the hour.
The rally concluded with a renewed pledge by JSMU to continue its efforts in promoting national unity and security.
