KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the anti-polio campaign in collaboration with religious scholars at an event held at Jamia Binoria Al-Alamia.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, Deputy Commissioner Keamari Raja Tariq, and other senior officials.
Speaking at the occasion, Mayor Murtaza Wahab said that the time has come for Pakistan to take decisive action to eradicate polio once and for all. “It is now our collective responsibility to ensure that, like the rest of the world, we defeat polio permanently,” he stated.
He appreciated the role of religious scholars, saying they are united in their message that the only effective way to protect children from polio is through vaccination drops.
“Children’s health and their future are our shared responsibility,” the Mayor emphasized, appealing to all parents to ensure their children receive the polio drops during the campaign.
