KARACHI: Beaconhouse International College (BIC) Karachi, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Karachi, organized an awareness seminar on drug prevention to educate students and teachers about the rising trend of drug use and its social impact.

The event’s chief guest, DIG South Syed Asad Raza, highlighted the alarming increase in drug addiction among youth and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in curbing this menace. A detailed presentation was given by South Zone Police, explaining the harmful effects of drugs and practical measures to prevent addiction.

Speakers stressed the need for parental supervision, community awareness, and the promotion of healthy activities among youth. Students were encouraged to adopt a positive lifestyle and avoid negative influences.
Those who addressed the seminar included Naila Masood, President of Rotary Club of Karachi, Ahmer Azam, CEO of TriFit, Sanam Phattan, Head of Beaconhouse, and DIG South Syed Asad Raza.
A question-and-answer session was held at the end, where students raised queries related to drug awareness. Shields were distributed among the participants.
The Rotary Club of Karachi and Beaconhouse International College also announced that similar awareness sessions for parents will be organized in the near future.
