Cardiff University Delegate Explores Research Collaboration During Visit to Health Services Academy

ISLAMABAD: A delegate from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, visited the Health Services Academy (HSA) where they met with the National Coordinator One Health, Dr. Tariq Mehmood Ali, and the Rector HSA, Dr. Muhammad Junaid Sarfraz.

The meeting focused on strengthening academic and research collaboration between Cardiff University and the Health Services Academy, particularly in areas of public health, training, and joint research initiatives.

During the visit, the delegate was also briefed on Pakistan’s Event-Based Surveillance (EBS) system at the One Health Secretariat. Officials highlighted the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance integrated disease surveillance, early detection mechanisms, and pandemic preparedness. The discussion underscored the importance of cross-border knowledge exchange and collaborative research to improve public health systems.
