Commissioner Karachi Visits District South to Review Polio Campaign

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi visited District South to review the progress of ongoing efforts against polio.

During the visit, Deputy Commissioner South, President and Vice President of the Clifton Cantonment Board, and other senior officials were also present. Commissioner Naqvi held an open meeting on the polio vaccination drive, commending the strong performance of the Clifton Cantonment Board in polio eradication activities.

He praised the residents of Defence and Clifton for their awareness and active participation, saying, “The people of Defence and Clifton are highly conscious of the importance of polio awareness and vaccination.”

Commissioner Karachi urged all parents to ensure their children receive polio drops during the nationwide campaign scheduled from October 13 to 19, emphasizing that every child deserves a healthy, polio-free future.

“Just two drops of the polio vaccine during every campaign can protect your children for life,” Commissioner Naqvi said, reaffirming the city administration’s commitment to making Karachi a polio-free city.
