KARACHI: Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi has inaugurated its newly upgraded Orthopedic Operation Theatre Complex, marking a major advancement in orthopedic and trauma care facilities at one of Pakistan’s largest public sector hospitals.
Under this upgradation project, two new operation theatres have been established, each equipped with cutting-edge medical technology to enhance surgical precision and patient safety. The newly installed facilities include:
- Advanced operation theatre tables
- C-Arm fluoroscopy machines for real-time imaging
- Arthroscopy systems for minimally invasive procedures
- Anesthesia workstations
- LED surgical lights for optimal visibility
- Comprehensive patient monitoring systems
The development was carried out under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Badar Sahito and Prof. Dr. Adeel Siddiqui, Heads of Orthopedic Units I and II respectively, whose continuous efforts have transformed orthopedic surgical care at the hospital.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Rauf Nagori, General Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi Division, as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bukhari highlighted that the new operation theatres will significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to treat complex orthopedic and trauma cases, ensuring faster recovery and improved outcomes for patients.
