Dr. Akram Sultan Reappointed as Convener of FPCCI Sindh Standing Committee on Gen. Health and Safety

KARACHI: Dr. Akram Sultan, Consultant Heart Specialist at Tabba Heart Institute, has been reappointed as Convener of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Sindh Regional Standing Committee on General Health and Safety Measures for the year 2026.

According to the official notification issued by FPCCI, the appointment has been made in recognition of Dr Sultan’s professional expertise and contributions in the field of cardiology and public health. As a convener, he will be responsible for leading the committee’s activities, selecting professional members from across Sindh, and coordinating initiatives aimed at improving general health and safety standards.

Dr Akram Sultan is also serving as Coordinator of the Pakistan Cardiac Society Karachi Chapter and holds the position of Health Advisor to COMSTECH OIC, reflecting his continued engagement with national and international health platforms.

FPCCI has directed the committee to hold regular meetings and submit quarterly reports on its activities and recommendations, which will be reviewed and included in FPCCI’s performance reports. The committee will work in close coordination with the FPCCI Secretariat to advance health and safety-related policy input and advocacy.

The reappointment highlights FPCCI’s continued emphasis on strengthening health governance and safety measures through experienced medical leadership.
