KARACHI: A virtual Mid-Campaign Review Meeting for the ongoing Measles-Rubella (MR) and Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) Campaign 2025 was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho. The session was attended by Project Director EPI Sindh Dr. Raj Kumar, Additional Project Director Dr. Sohail Raza Shaikh, DHOs and DFPs from all 30 districts, along with the EPI Core Team, development partners, and representatives from WHO, UNICEF, Gavi, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), and other partner organizations.
The meeting reviewed district-wise progress of the campaign and evaluated ongoing field activities. Officials discussed operational challenges, logistical support, and strategies to improve team performance and community outreach. Emphasis was placed on coordinated action among all stakeholders to ensure full coverage and successful implementation across Sindh.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening surveillance, enhancing vaccination coverage, and safeguarding children against vaccine-preventable diseases. The meeting concluded with directives to address gaps promptly and accelerate efforts in low-performing areas to protect every child in the province.
