KARACHI: Semester VI physiotherapy students from Iqra University recently completed a two-week clinical placement at the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi (HWSK).

During the rotation, students gained hands-on experience in joint assessment using the Hemophilia Joint Health Score (HJHS), functional evaluation through the Functional Independence Score in Hemophilia (FISH), and quality of life assessment using the EQ-5D-5L Questionnaire. They also learned clinical management of hemophilia cases and the role of clotting factor replacement therapy in rehabilitation.

The program aims to equip future physiotherapists with essential skills to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

HWSK highlighted its commitment to strengthening specialized physiotherapy care through continuous education and clinical mentorship.
