KARACHI: Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi has appointed Mr. Jamil Awan as the new In-Charge of the Institute of Health Education and Clinical Training (IHECT). The decision was announced through an official office order issued by Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Muhammad Khalid Bukhari.
Under the new arrangement, Mr. Jamil Awan will oversee all academic and administrative affairs of IHECT. His key responsibilities include managing academic operations, ensuring proper implementation of the attendance system for government students, and compiling monthly attendance reports for submission to the Medical Superintendent through the AMS Director (IHECT). He has also been tasked with maintaining attendance records, recommending penalties for malpractice, and monitoring adherence to updated operational protocols.
The appointment takes effect immediately and will remain in place until further orders, strengthening the hospital’s commitment to strict compliance and improved educational standards within the IHECT programme.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Paramedical Wing Sindh has warmly welcomed this development and congratulated Mr. Jamil Awan on his new assignment. In a statement, the Wing praised Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari for taking this positive administrative step and expressed confidence that Mr. Jamil Awan will prove to be an excellent choice for the betterment of the hospital.
