KARACHI: The Board of Sui Southern Gas Company has approved the appointment of Muhammad Ameen Rajput as Interim Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a period of three months on a contract basis.
According to an official statement issued on Friday, Rajput, who is currently serving as Acting Managing Director and CEO of the company, is reaching the age of superannuation and will retire from regular service on February 13, 2026.
To ensure continuity in leadership while the formal process for the appointment of a permanent Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer remains underway, the Board has granted approval for his interim appointment immediately after his retirement. The three-month arrangement will take effect from the date of his retirement.
The company stated that the decision has been taken as a temporary administrative measure to maintain operational stability during the transition period. The statement was issued by Salman Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy General Manager Corporate Communications and Central Spokesperson of the company.
