KARACHI: The Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan has presented a Shield of Appreciation to the management of Ocean Mall Karachi in recognition of its continued support and solidarity in raising public awareness about hemophilia and other rare bleeding disorders.

The acknowledgment comes in appreciation of Ocean Mall’s facilitation last year, when it provided space and logistical support to the Society’s Youth Group to conduct a Hemophilia Awareness Activity and Public Survey at the mall premises. The initiative aimed to educate the general public about hemophilia, a genetic bleeding disorder that remains widely misunderstood in society.
During the activity, youth volunteers directly engaged with visitors, answered questions, distributed educational materials, and worked to dispel common myths and misconceptions related to bleeding disorders. The awareness drive helped improve public understanding and highlighted the daily challenges faced by individuals living with hemophilia.
Representatives of the Hemophilia Welfare Society said their collective mission is to promote early diagnosis, ensure timely treatment, and strengthen community support for people affected by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
The Society further expressed satisfaction that this year as well, Ocean Mall Karachi and the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi continue their partnership and shared commitment to advancing awareness, education, and solidarity for the bleeding disorders community.
