KARACHI: In light of the flood situation across Sindh, PPHI Sindh, in collaboration with the Sindh Health Department, has mobilized its district and regional teams to provide timely and comprehensive healthcare services to affected populations.
According to the Information Department, PPHI Sindh has so far established 423 medical camps, where 29,723 patients have received treatment. Additionally, 120 people benefited from family planning services, 191 women received antenatal care, 50 women postnatal care, and 7 normal deliveries were conducted. A total of 2,477 laboratory tests were also performed.
The report highlighted that 56 medical camps were organized in a single day, treating 5,655 patients. Moreover, through its mobile health vans, PPHI Sindh has set up 644 mobile camps in flood-hit areas, where 733 individuals were provided medical assistance today alone, along with 109 laboratory tests.
Encouragingly, no deaths have been reported so far. The Sindh Information Department confirmed that PPHI teams remain on high alert and are actively providing immediate healthcare in case of emergencies.
