KARACHI: The Provincial PEI–EPI Synergy Meeting was held at the EPI-Sindh Conference Hall in Karachi, bringing together key stakeholders from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Sindh, the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Sindh leadership, EPI consultants, and representatives from UNICEF, WHO, GAVI and other partner organizations.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination between the Routine Immunization programme (EPI) and the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) to improve vaccination coverage across Sindh. Participants reviewed progress made on previous action points and discussed strategic planning and preparedness for the upcoming National Immunization Days (NID) scheduled for April 2026.

During the session, participants emphasized the importance of joint operational planning, effective communication strategies, and coordinated field-level efforts to ensure the successful implementation of immunization campaigns throughout the province.
Officials highlighted that strengthened collaboration between PEI and EPI teams will play a critical role in reaching missed children and improving routine vaccination coverage.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all partners to work collectively to protect every child through timely immunization and polio vaccination efforts across Sindh.
