KARACHI: Secretary Health Sindh, Tahir Hussain Sangi, paid an official visit to Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to review ongoing development initiatives and future planning of the province’s largest public sector healthcare facility.


During the visit, the Secretary toured various departments and examined projects being executed under the Health Department, Government of Sindh. He reviewed the progress of ongoing development works and discussed measures aimed at improving hospital infrastructure, service delivery, and patient care standards.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari briefed the Secretary on the proposed master plan, outlining key proposals for infrastructure enhancement while ensuring the preservation of the hospital’s historic heritage building.

The Secretary also inspected projects under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) and discussed implementation strategies related to the master plan. He emphasized that development work would continue in accordance with the directives of Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he assured full support from the Health Department to further strengthen healthcare services and modernize facilities at Civil Hospital Karachi.
