Sindh governor, Red Crescent Sindh chairman discuss emergency relief and humanitarian cooperation

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori met Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch, Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, at Governor House Karachi to review ongoing humanitarian services and explore avenues for strengthened cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides held a detailed discussion on rapid response mechanisms during natural disasters, accidents, and other emergency situations. Muhammad Rehan Hashmi briefed the Governor on the Red Crescent’s ongoing activities in Sindh, including medical services, volunteer mobilization, and relief operations.

Governor Tessori praised the organization’s humanitarian role, stating that serving humanity is a noble mission and that the Red Crescent’s contributions are commendable. He noted that the organization’s relief efforts in remote and underserved areas of the province have become a source of hope for vulnerable communities.

Rehan Hashmi also appreciated the Governor’s welfare initiatives and the assistance programs being implemented for deserving families. Both sides agreed to further strengthen mutual cooperation and work together on joint welfare projects aimed at improving emergency response and public service delivery in Sindh.
