YDA JPMC announces protest over unpaid stipends

KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) has announced a formal protest against the hospital administration over the prolonged delay in the payment of stipends to postgraduate trainees and house officers.

According to the association, doctors have not received their stipends for several months despite repeated reminders to the administration. The YDA stated that the continuous delay has caused serious financial distress among young medical professionals working round the clock in the country’s largest public hospital.

The protest will be held in front of the Najmuddin Auditorium, JPMC, on Friday, 31 October 2025, at 10:30 AM, where doctors will demand immediate disbursement of their pending payments and an assurance to prevent such delays in the future.
