Civil Hospital Karachi Receives Advanced Diagnostic Machines, Essential Equipment

KARACHI: Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi has received advanced diagnostic machines, essential hospital furniture and medical equipment aimed at strengthening diagnostic services and improving patient care across different departments.

A ceremony was held at the hospital on Saturday for the distribution of the equipment and handing over of diagnostic machines to the respective departments. Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi Division General Secretary Rauf Ahmed Nagori attended the ceremony as chief guest.

During the ceremony, essential hospital furniture and medical equipment were distributed among various departments, while Mammography and FibroScan machines were handed over to the Radiology Department.

Advanced Randox Laboratory Machines were also handed over to the hospital's Central Laboratory to further strengthen its diagnostic capabilities.

The Randox laboratory systems are advanced diagnostic platforms used for a range of investigations, including clinical chemistry, multiplex immunoassay testing, toxicology and molecular diagnostics.

Hospital officials said the availability of the Mammography machine would enhance capacity for breast imaging and facilitate early detection of breast diseases, while the FibroScan would support non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis and related liver conditions.

The addition of the new equipment and diagnostic technology is expected to strengthen diagnostic facilities at one of Karachi's major public-sector tertiary care hospitals and improve access to essential investigations for patients.
