KARACHI: Dr. Aftab Azam, Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital District Sanghar, visited the Head Office of the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan (HWSK), where he toured the Prophylaxis Center, Physiotherapy Development Unit, and the Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
During the visit, Dr. Aftab Azam appreciated HWSK's integrated model of hemophilia care and described its comprehensive services as “a blessing for the people of Sindh and across the country.” He commended the organization's efforts in providing quality treatment and support to patients living with inherited bleeding disorders.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the Hemophilia Treatment Center established in collaboration with HWSK at Civil Hospital District Sanghar. He said efforts would be made to expand facilities, enhance patient care, and increase public awareness about inherited bleeding disorders.
The visit highlighted the growing collaboration between the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan and the Government of Sindh to ensure equitable, comprehensive, and sustainable hemophilia care services across the province.
