KARACHI: The Sindh Health Department has constituted a three-member inquiry committee to investigate various complaints against Chief Drug Inspector Sindh, Mr. Ghulam Ali Lakho, over allegations of misuse of authority, misconduct, and corruption.
According to an official notification issued by the Health Department, the committee has been tasked with reviewing all written complaints, supporting documents, and evidence submitted by complainants. It will also record statements from complainants, witnesses, and the Chief Drug Inspector.
The committee will examine allegations of abuse of authority, professional and administrative misconduct, bribery, favoritism, financial irregularities, and compliance with drug control laws, rules, and departmental policies.
The inquiry committee will be headed by the Special Secretary (Admin), Health Department, with the Director Health Services, Karachi, serving as a member, while the Section Officer-VII, Health Department, will act as Member/Secretary.
The committee has been directed to complete the inquiry and submit its findings along with recommendations for disciplinary or corrective action within 15 days.
