Dengue Cases Rise in Sindh, No Fatalities Reported — Daily Health Directorate Update

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Health Sindh has released the latest daily report on the dengue situation across the province, confirming a continued rise in new cases but no fatalities reported.

According to the report, 42 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals, while 39 additional cases were recorded in private hospitals, bringing the total number of hospitalized dengue patients to 82 across Sindh.

In Karachi Division, 21 new dengue admissions were reported from government facilities. Hyderabad recorded 11 new hospital admissions, according to the Health Department.

The report further stated that 64 patients were discharged from government hospitals after recovery, while 46 patients recovered in private hospitals. Officials confirmed that no dengue-related deaths have been reported anywhere in the province.

Meanwhile, 3,472 individuals underwent dengue tests in both government and private laboratories. Out of these, 245 samples tested positive for dengue. Laboratory data showed that Karachi reported the highest number of confirmed cases with 104 positive results, while Hyderabad laboratories recorded 141 positive cases, the Directorate General of Health Sindh added.

Health authorities urged continued vigilance and timely testing, reiterating their commitment to monitoring the situation and ensuring adequate care for all patients.
