Metropolitan Commissioner Karachi Abrar Jaffer Visits Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Reviews Facilities

KARACHI: Metropolitan Commissioner Karachi Abrar Jaffer visited Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to review healthcare facilities and assess service delivery.

During the visit, the Commissioner toured various wards and interacted with patients to inquire about the quality of medical services being provided. He stated that efforts are underway to enhance facilities in hospitals managed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, adding that new wards will soon be made operational.

Abrar Jaffer directed hospital staff to ensure that patients not only receive quality medical treatment but are also treated with compassion and respect. He emphasized that any complaints should be addressed immediately without delay.

The Commissioner further instructed doctors and paramedical staff to ensure strict attendance, warning that negligence would not be tolerated. He also announced that he would continue conducting surprise visits to different hospitals to monitor facilities and performance.

Highlighting the importance of the institution, he noted that Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is also a teaching facility, playing a vital role in both patient care and medical education.

Senior Director Medical Dr. Mehwish Mithani, Director Abbasi Shaheed Dr. Faisal, and other officials were also present during the visit.
