NICVD, KMC to Host Family Health Fest on World Heart Day 2025

KARACHI: The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), in collaboration with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), has announced the Family Health Fest – Healthy Living to mark World Heart Day 2025. The event will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frere Hall, Karachi.

A Celebration of Healthy Living

The Family Health Fest aims to promote heart health and overall well-being through a range of interactive activities. Visitors can expect:

  1. Free health check-ups conducted by healthcare professionals
  2. Fitness and awareness sessions on healthy lifestyles
  3. Kids’ activities to encourage family participation
  4. Musical performances by renowned artists

A highlight of the evening will be the Red Illumination of Frere Hall at 6:45 PM, symbolizing awareness for cardiovascular health.

Distinguished Guests and Performances

The event will feature Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Honorable Mayor of Karachi, as the Chief Guest. Popular singer and social activist Shehzad Roy will deliver a special musical performance.

Registration Details

Attendance is free but registration is mandatory for families. Participants can register by scanning the QR code on the event poster or through on-arrival registration counters.

World Heart Day is observed globally to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases and encourage preventive measures. The NICVD initiative aims to bring together families and communities to celebrate healthy living and inspire positive lifestyle changes.
