ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s final nationwide polio vaccination campaign of 2025 will be held from December 15 to 21, the National Emergency Operations Center (EOC) announced.
During the campaign, over 45 million children under the age of five across the country will be given polio drops to protect them from the disease.
Provincial targets include Punjab: 23 million children, Sindh: 10.6 million children, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 7.2 million children, Balochistan: 2.6 million children, Islamabad: 460,000 children, Gilgit-Baltistan: 228,000 children and Azad Jammu & Kashmir: 760,000 children.
More than 400,000 male and female polio workers will visit households nationwide to administer the drops.
Parents have been urged to welcome polio workers at their doorsteps and ensure that their children under five receive two drops for full protection against polio.
