ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has paid tribute to the nation and the armed forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, acknowledging their role in defending the country’s sovereignty and national dignity.
In a statement issued on Saturday, PM&DC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj said Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos demonstrated the professional excellence and outstanding military capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces.
He said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces successfully defended the sovereignty and dignity of the motherland, adding that Marka-e-Haq would always be remembered as a symbol of national unity and resilience.
The Council paid “Kharaj-e-Tahseen” to Pak Army healthcare professionals, rescue teams, and all individuals who remained steadfast during the critical period, recognising their exceptional services, patriotism, and dedication.
Prof. Taj said the nation was proud of its martyrs and ghazis who sacrificed for the country’s freedom. He added that during Marka-e-Haq, the entire nation stood united like a solid wall, and the success reflected the unity, determination, and professionalism of the armed forces.
Expressing solidarity on behalf of the medical fraternity, he acknowledged the invaluable services rendered by the armed forces for maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of the people of Pakistan.
He further stated that the medical fraternity had always remained at the forefront during national challenges, emergencies, and humanitarian crises.
According to him, healthcare professionals once again demonstrated exceptional commitment, compassion, and resilience during Marka-e-Haq.
Prof. Taj said the spirit of selfless service shown by doctors and healthcare workers reflected the finest values of the medical profession and strengthened national unity and collective responsibility.
The PM&DC also paid tribute to the national leadership for its efforts toward the protection of human life, promotion of national solidarity, and public welfare. The Council acknowledged their commitment and dedication in guiding the country through challenging times.
The Council also expressed solidarity with families affected during the difficult period and prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan.
