KARACHI: Mr. Asad Ali, CEO of Husaini Blood Bank, accompanied by Mr. Junaid, CFO of Husaini Blood Bank, Karachi, visited the Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center (CHTC) established by Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan (HWSK) at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

During the visit, they reviewed the services, facilities and multidisciplinary care being provided free of cost to patients with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders from across the country.

Mr. Asad Ali appreciated the efforts of HWSK and acknowledged the support that has contributed to the establishment and strengthening of the Centre, including humanitarian aid from the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), allocation of space by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, and support from the Sindh Government for prophylaxis treatment for children with hemophilia.

He particularly appreciated the commitment of Secretary Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA), Dr. Durenaz Jamal, and her continued efforts to support and improve care for people living with bleeding disorders.

Mr. Asad Ali described the CHTC as an exemplary model centre providing multidisciplinary care and essential services to patients completely free of cost. He also assured his support to HWSK for strengthening collaboration and expanding services in areas where further support is required.
The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration, partnership and collective commitment to ensuring accessible, comprehensive and sustainable care for people with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
