KARACHI: The Directorate General of Health Sindh has issued the latest daily report on the dengue situation in the province, confirming that 155 new patients were hospitalized during the last 24 hours. Of these, 70 patients were admitted to government hospitals and 80 patients to private hospitals.
According to the report, 27 new patients were admitted to government hospitals in the Karachi division, while 25 new patients were reported in government hospitals in Hyderabad. A total of 82 patients recovered and were discharged from government hospitals, while 53 patients were discharged from private hospitals after recovery.
The Health Department further stated that 4,620 dengue tests were conducted in government and private laboratories across Sindh during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 641 tested positive. Laboratory data shows that 325 positive cases were reported in Karachi and 316 in Hyderabad.
No dengue-related deaths were reported in Sindh during this period. The Directorate General of Health Sindh said the situation is being continuously monitored and urged the public to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of dengue.
