559 Dengue Cases Confirmed Across Sindh — No Deaths Reported, Health Dept Issues Daily Update

KARACHI: The Directorate of Press Information, Government of Sindh, has released the latest daily dengue situation report, highlighting the current status of cases across the province.

According to the report issued by the Director General Health Sindh, a total of 50 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals, while 33 additional cases were reported from private hospitals, bringing the total number of hospitalized dengue patients to 76 across Sindh.

In Karachi Division, 16 new admissions were recorded in government hospitals, whereas Hyderabad government hospitals reported 22 new dengue patients.

The encouraging trend of recovery continued, as 63 patients were discharged from government hospitals after successful treatment, and 44 patients recovered from private hospitals. No dengue-related death has been reported anywhere in Sindh, the report confirmed.

Laboratory data revealed that 5,070 individuals underwent dengue testing across public and private labs. Out of these, 559 samples tested positive. Karachi laboratories reported the highest number of positive cases — 347, while 212 positive cases were recorded from laboratories in Hyderabad, according to the Director General Health Sindh.

The Health Department reiterated its commitment to closely monitoring the dengue situation and urged citizens to take preventive measures to curb the spread of the virus.
