KARACHI: The Private Nursing Institutes Association has felicitated Prof Dr Ikram Ujjan on the extension of his tenure as Vice Chancellor of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) for another four years by the Sindh government.
Association President Qayyum Marwat, General Secretary James Watt, Information Secretary Nazar Afridi and other office-bearers welcomed the provincial government’s decision and extended their congratulations and best wishes to Prof Dr Ujjan.
In a statement, the association said the extension reflected the Sindh government’s confidence in Prof Dr Ujjan’s experience and services. It said he had played an important role in the development and improvement of LUMHS during his tenure.
The association’s office-bearers expressed hope that Prof Dr Ujjan would continue to utilise his experience and professional capabilities to further strengthen the university and enhance its academic and administrative standards.
They also wished Prof Dr Ujjan success during his extended tenure and expressed hope that LUMHS would continue to make progress under his leadership.
