KARACHI: Bridge Consultants Foundation (BCF) organized an awareness session for lady doctors in Larkana under the CFCF 2025 project, focusing on improving understanding and management of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB).

During the session, participants were provided detailed information about DR-TB, including its causes, symptoms, and available treatment approaches. Emphasis was placed on the importance of early detection and timely intervention to prevent complications and reduce transmission.

The facilitators also highlighted the critical role of proper case management and adherence to treatment protocols in ensuring successful patient outcomes. Lady doctors were encouraged to strengthen their role in identifying suspected cases and guiding patients throughout the treatment process.

In addition to clinical aspects, comprehensive information was shared about the One Impact app, hosted by Dopasi, which is designed to support TB patients. Participants received practical guidance on how to install and effectively use the application, with a focus on its potential to improve patient support, monitoring, and treatment adherence.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants shared their experiences and challenges in managing DR-TB cases, reaffirming the need for continued capacity-building initiatives at the district level.
