KARACHI: A delegation of senior officials from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) visited a Drug Testing Laboratory on September 9, 2026, where they reviewed the laboratory’s operations and provided technical guidance aimed at further improving its performance and standards.
The delegation included Dr. Fakhruddin Amir, Team Lead NRS, DRAP Islamabad; Ajmal Asif Sohail, Director Controlled Drugs, DRAP Islamabad; Abdul Mateen, Deputy Director Pharmacy Services, DRAP; Dr. Hassan Afzal, Deputy Director ICA/CEO Secretariat; Asfandyar Khan, Deputy Director DRAP Karachi; and Tahir Waqas, Deputy Director DRAP Karachi.
During the visit, the officials were briefed on the laboratory’s operations, testing procedures and ongoing activities. The DRAP delegation appreciated the work being carried out at the laboratory and shared valuable recommendations and technical guidance for further improvement.
The laboratory team expressed gratitude to the visiting DRAP officials for their time, professional guidance and suggestions, saying such interactions contribute to strengthening quality standards and improving pharmaceutical testing practices.
