KARACHI: The Social Welfare and Trust Society (SWAT) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) successfully organized “Pinktober 2025 Powered by Suzuki,” an inspiring campaign to raise breast-cancer awareness, promote early detection, and encourage women’s well-being.

The event opened with an informative 40-minute awareness session in the CBM Auditorium, followed by a panel discussion featuring experts from Liaquat National Hospital (LNH), Fujifilm, and ABN Overseas Education.

Dr Hira Khan Afridi, Consultant Oncologist at LNH, underscored the life-saving value of early screening and emotional resilience.
Dr Humaira Erum, Assistant Professor of Histopathology at LNH, explained how accurate pathology ensures timely diagnosis and better outcomes.
Syeda Ghazia Hassan Zaidi, Senior Clinical Application Specialist at Fujifilm, outlined how modern imaging technologies are transforming early cancer detection.
Rimsha Rauf, Market Manager at ABN Overseas Education, emphasized her organization’s role in empowering students through knowledge and exposure.
The discussion, moderated by Javeria Baig, kept nearly 190 students engaged with practical insights and personal reflections.
After the session, the Pinktober Emporium at the Student Activity Center welcomed around 2,500 students. The Emporium doubled as a fundraising and awareness platform, hosting creative stalls from Haath Hunar, Stitch & Carry, Chrysanthemums Beads, Cravory, Pink, Book Central, Permablings, Case On, and Gemporium—each contributing artfully to the cause.
The campaign’s success was powered by generous partners: Suzuki (Presenting Diamond Sponsor), ABN Education (Silver), and Sincere (Bronze), with Liaquat National Hospital and Fujifilm as collaborating institutions. Health Matters Media served as the Digital Health and Media Partner.
SWAT expressed gratitude to IoBM management for championing women’s health initiatives and extended special thanks to Ms Rabia Sabri, Faculty Advisor, for her mentorship.
The event’s twin hashtags captured its spirit:
#TogetherWeCan — SWAT’s signature slogan of unity and compassion.
#TogetherWeFight — symbolizing collective resilience and hope in the battle against breast cancer.
Through Pinktober 2025, IoBM once again demonstrated how youth-driven initiatives can blend empathy, education, and action — proving that pink is more than a color; it is a symbol of strength, awareness, and solidarity.
