KARACHI: Prominent Pakistani hemophilia advocate and Founder & CEO of the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi, Raheel Ahmed, is set to participate in the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) World Congress 2026, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 19 to 22.
Raheel Ahmed, who has been actively working for over two decades to improve the lives of patients with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, termed his participation in the global congress a significant milestone in his journey of advocacy and service.
Expressing his views, he said that attending the WFH World Congress for the first time is both an honour and an important opportunity to engage with international experts, global partners, and leading voices in the hemophilia community. He added that the platform would enable meaningful exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices in the management and advocacy of bleeding disorders.
He further stated that he looks forward to learning from global advancements and bringing back stronger, more effective advocacy strategies to Pakistan, aimed at improving patient care, awareness, and support systems for individuals living with hemophilia.
The WFH World Congress is one of the largest international gatherings focused on bleeding disorders, bringing together healthcare professionals, patient organizations, policymakers, and advocates from around the world to discuss innovations, challenges, and collaborative solutions.
Raheel Ahmed’s participation is being seen as a positive step towards strengthening Pakistan’s representation in global health advocacy forums and advancing efforts for better care and awareness of hemophilia in the country.
