Raheel Ahmed Khan Named Member of FPCCI CSR Committee on Medical & Health Sciences

KARACHI: Raheel Ahmed Khan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi (HWSK), has been nominated as a member of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Central Standing Committee on Medical & Health Sciences for the year 2026.

The nomination was announced through an official notification issued by FPCCI, confirming the formation of its CSR Central Standing Committee on Medical & Health Sciences. The committee comprises representatives from the healthcare, corporate, and development sectors and is tasked with promoting corporate social responsibility initiatives in the health sector.

Raheel Ahmed Khan’s inclusion in the committee is seen as a recognition of his longstanding advocacy for people living with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders in Pakistan. Through the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi, he has been actively working to raise awareness, improve access to treatment, and support patients suffering from rare bleeding disorders.

The FPCCI committee is expected to facilitate dialogue between the business community and healthcare stakeholders, encouraging collaborative initiatives aimed at improving medical access, public health awareness, and community-based health programs across the country.

The committee is being convened by Dr. Zahid Hasan Ansari, former officer of the  health department, Government of Sindh and Chief Executive Officer of Popular Labs, who will lead the body in shaping CSR-driven health initiatives for 2026.

Raheel Ahmed Khan said that the platform will help amplify the voices of patients with hemophilia and strengthen advocacy efforts to ensure better healthcare support systems for individuals living with rare bleeding disorders.

Health experts believe that the inclusion of patient advocacy leaders in such policy and advisory platforms can help bridge the gap between healthcare providers, policymakers, and affected communities, ultimately contributing to more inclusive and responsive health policies.
