YDA JPMC congratulates Dr. Nighat Shah on appointment as pro vice chancellor, JSMU

KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Nighat Shah on her appointment as Pro Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi.

Dr. Nighat Shah, Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ward 9-B at JPMC, is a highly competent and dynamic professional who has made significant contributions to patient care, medical education, and institutional development. Her appointment is a recognition of her dedication, leadership, and long-standing commitment to advancing healthcare standards in Sindh.

The YDA JPMC has had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Nighat Shah on several initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and community well-being. These include the development of a dedicated Blood Bank within the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, Plantation Drives, Health Carnivals, Seminars, and Public Awareness Sessions focused on women’s health and preventive medicine.

Dr. Mehboob Noonari, Chairman YDA Sindh, also congratulated Dr. Nighat Shah on her appointment and expressed optimism that under her visionary leadership, JSMU will continue to progress academically and institutionally.

“We believe that under Dr. Nighat Shah’s guidance, merit and transparency will prevail, replacing nepotism and monopoly with professionalism and integrity,”
said Dr. Noonari. “Her leadership will ensure positive growth for JSMU and the future of medical graduates in Sindh.”
