KARACHI: Not every person needs perfect eyesight to see their dreams. Some people see with their heart — and walk forward with courage even when the world tries to hold them back. Nabila Kosar is one such shining example — a woman who turned her health challenge into her greatest strength and proved that hope is stronger than hardship.
From a young age, her eyesight began to weaken. Redness, tears, pain, and blurred vision became a part of her life. At school, she was mocked for her condition — she couldn’t play, couldn’t run fast, and struggled to see the ball in games. But instead of breaking down, she found her strength in books. Reading became her world, and writers became her friends. Her passion for knowledge grew stronger every day.
But life was not easy. Doctors finally announced that corneal transplants were necessary — one eye after another. These surgeries came right after her F.Sc. exams. Still, she did not give up. Even during recovery, she continued her education with determination.
She completed her private B.A. in Economics, earned a scholarship, joined Punjab University for her Master’s degree, worked hard, qualified for multiple government and private jobs — and today, she has spent nine successful years as a Lecturer in Economics. She is also pursuing her PhD, while courageously managing her home, children, and professional responsibilities.
This is not just success — this is victory over fear, pain, and limitation.
This is proof that a health challenge can slow you down — but it can never define your future.
A Message to Every Girl & Boy Facing Health Challenges
If you have weak eyesight… if your body is not as strong as others… if your health makes life difficult — remember this: “Dreams are not seen with the eyes — they are seen with the heart.”
You may feel different, but you are not less. Your struggle can become your power. Your pain can become your purpose. Like Nabila, your journey can inspire thousands.
