Indus Hospital Launches Ramazan Campaign 2026 Emphasising Urgency of Timely Care

KARACHI: Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has launched its Ramazan Campaign 2026 under the theme “Rahay Khayal – Ye Waqt, Waqt Ki Baat Hai,” highlighting the critical importance of timely medical care for patients who cannot afford treatment. The campaign was formally unveiled at IHHN’s flagship hospital in Korangi, Karachi.

The launch ceremony was attended by senior leadership of the network, philanthropists, corporate partners, media representatives and student volunteers, all reaffirming their commitment to ensuring free and quality healthcare for those in need. The campaign underscores that delays in medical treatment can have life-threatening consequences and urges timely support during the holy month of Ramazan.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Karim Pracha, Chairman of Indus Hospital & Health Network, said Ramazan is a time of compassion and shared responsibility. He noted that circumstances can change for anyone at any time and stressed that collective generosity enables patients to receive lifesaving treatment when it matters most.

Chairman of the Resource Generation Committee, Salim Razak Tabani, reiterated IHHN’s mission of providing equitable healthcare and thanked donors and supporters for their continued trust. He said contributions made during Ramazan carry added significance as they directly help save lives and restore hope for vulnerable families.

A detailed presentation by Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director Communication and Resource Development, highlighted the growing national footprint of IHHN, which now operates 13 hospitals, four regional blood centres, three physical rehabilitation centres, over 100 primary care facilities, several public health initiatives, the Indus University of Health Sciences and the Indus Research Center. He shared that rising healthcare costs push more than 400,000 families below the poverty line every year, while IHHN currently provides free treatment to over 500,000 patients each month, with around 70 per cent supported through Zakat funds.

Mr Rizvi emphasised that timely medical intervention often determines survival, making prompt donor support crucial. He added that for many families, receiving help at the right moment is the difference between despair and relief.

A video message from Dr Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, was also played, in which he thanked media, donors and supporters for helping transform Indus Hospital into a nationwide healthcare network. He appealed for continued support, particularly in the face of current economic challenges.

The event concluded with a dua led by Hafiz Amir, Chairman of the Shariah Advisory and Zakat Committee, praying for the success of the campaign and for healing and relief for patients across Pakistan.
