ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) has finalized preparations for its first-ever National Inspector Training Program aimed at shifting the council’s inspection system to a fully digitalized model. An important preparatory meeting was held at the PM&DC headquarters on Tuesday to review all arrangements for the three-day training scheduled from December 9 to 11, 2025.
The meeting, chaired by the President PM&DC, brought together 12 Master Trainers who examined the overall training framework, logistical arrangements and the implementation strategy for the nationwide pilot. According to officials, the structured training program has been designed to improve the competency and readiness of master inspectors responsible for guiding inspection teams visiting medical and dental colleges across the country.
Participants reviewed key agenda items including the finalization of the digital inspection workflow, allocation of facilitators, selection of participating institutions and the completion of training materials such as the Inspector Guide and digital inspection platform. The council emphasized that the training will equip inspectors with updated knowledge, digital tools and standardized methodologies required for credible, efficient and evidence-based inspections.
During the meeting, the PM&DC leadership stressed the importance of transparent and uniform inspection procedures, noting that the digital training initiative will strengthen the overall accreditation system. The discussion also covered compliance requirements, documentation protocols and assessment tools that will be used to ensure quality and effectiveness throughout the training process.
