KARACHI: In connection with Independence Day and the theme “Battle of Truth,” Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, led a delegation of students, faculty, and staff to Mazar-e-Quaid to pay homage. The group offered Fateha and laid floral wreaths at the mausoleum. Retired Colonel Akhtar Khalili, Secretary of the Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board Abdul Aleem Shaikh, and other dignitaries were also present.

Earlier, addressing a seminar titled “Soldiers of the Battle for Truth Became Bunyanum Marsoos (United Front)” at the Mazar-e-Quaid auditorium, organized by the Quaid-e-Azam Academy and Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board, Prof. Shah described the recent three-day Pakistan-India war as a “battle of technology.” He stressed that the conflict underscored the vital role of education, science, and technology in modern warfare.
Referring to the recent Iran-Israel confrontation, he noted how Israel, using advanced technology, successfully targeted Iran’s leadership. He urged Pakistani youth to recognize that the solution to the country’s challenges lies in higher education and the effective application of science and technology.
Prof. Shah called Pakistan a blessing from God, earned through immense sacrifices, and emphasized that the country’s abundant natural resources must be valued. Other speakers at the seminar included retired Colonel Akhtar Khalili, retired Colonel Mukhtar Ahmed Butt, Secretary Abdul Aleem Shaikh, and other dignitaries.
