The session underscored the alarming reality that over 90,000 women in Pakistan are diagnosed with breast cancer annually, emphasizing the importance of early detection, awareness, and screening to save lives. Experts also highlighted that breast cancer can affect both women and men, calling for inclusive health education.

The event featured leading voices from GPCCI member companies, showcasing how German funding, technology, and expertise are strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare ecosystem — from maternal and child health programs to reproductive medicine and healthcare infrastructure development.

Esteemed speakers included: Dr. Nilofar Arshad, General Physician & Certified Family Practitioner, Mr. Josef Schmid, Senior Expert Service (SES) Expert in Nursing, Ms. Soubia Hassan, Head of Marketing, Pharmaceutical Division, Bayer Pakistan, Dr. Saif Ur Rehman, Director Marketing, Business Development & Regulatory Affairs, Galaxy Pharma and Ms. Saima Saleem, Group Head Corporate Communications, Martin Dow.

Speakers from Bayer, Martin Dow, and Galaxy Pharma — all in partnership with major German healthcare organizations such as Merck and Gynemed — shared insights on innovation, quality standards, and corporate social responsibility initiatives transforming Pakistan’s medical sector.

GPCCI appreciated UMDC’s efforts in hosting the event and thanked all speakers, participants, and member companies for contributing to the dialogue on raising health awareness and strengthening German-Pakistan cooperation for a healthier and more sustainable future.
